Donations This Year

I have Great news! This year ALL the Proceeds and Food that were and still are being donated will be going to support Maywood Hills PTSA to purchase much needed food and toiletries for local low income families within our community. Thanks to all of you Amazing People, these donations will support the weekly groceries provided to 30 families in our community as well as provide a little extra to them so that their holiday season can be a little brighter.

About Me

I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We always went around at Christmas time to look at lights, and I told myself one day I'm going to go full-Griswold style when I own a house. In 2002 I moved to Seattle after joining the United States Coast Guard and shortly after, I met my wife. In the fall of 2003, we bought our house in Bothell, Washington. The Holiday Lights started to get bigger and bigger every year. The picture below is our first Christmas In Bothell. And it continues to get better every year.

Since we moved to Bothell, we have met many wonderful people, including our next-door neighbor Dee Hawkes (a.k.a. Coach). Throughout the year, Coach and other local Bothell and surrounding areas residents had a breakfast club where they would donate all year long to a jug of money each time they would meet. The money would then go towards local families in need. Around the 15th of December, they would contact the Bothell High School Principle to find neighbors who could use a helping hand and put gift cards to local business in Holiday cards to be passed out to families anonymously. In September 2020, Coach passed away, so I decided to try and keep this tradition continuing for years to come to honor his memory and to continue to help local families in need.
